Behavior modification is a process, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. After your consultation, you can expect follow-up communication to monitor your pet’s progress. This may include phone check-ins, recheck appointments, and additional training sessions if needed. We offer training sessions both in-clinic and in-home for cases requiring hands-on support.

When to Consider a Pet Behavior Consultation

A behavior consultation is recommended if your pet’s actions pose a danger to themselves, other pets, or people—or if their behavior affects their well-being. Common concerns that may require professional help include:

Dogs

  • Aggression (toward humans or animals)
  • Severe anxiety or fear
  • Thunderstorm and firework phobias
  • Separation anxiety
  • Excessive barking or destructive chewing
  • Resource guarding (protecting food, toys, or spaces)
  • Fecal consumption (coprophagia)

Cats

  • Aggression toward people or other pets
  • Litter box avoidance or inappropriate elimination
  • Excessive vocalization or destructive scratching
  • Overgrooming or self-mutilation
  • Fear-based hiding or avoidance behavior
  • Consumption of non-edible plants or objects (e.g. plastic)

WE'RE HERE FOR YOU

No matter the concern, our behavior counseling services are here to help restore balance to your home and improve your pet’s well-being. Book a consultation today and take the first step toward a happier, healthier relationship with your pet.
